The Elementary PTA is a bridge between our elementary schools and our families. Its mission is to help our children by helping our schools in a myriad of ways, from funding playgrounds and technology to working with staff and administration on curriculum issues and other aspects of student life.

You're invited ...

to join the Elementary PTA, contact board members, attend meetings and join committees. The PTA executive board welcomes the ideas and input of all parents, whose participation is vital to its mission of serving our children and teachers through our schools.

Monthly Meetings

The Elementary PTA meets at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of the month.

Meetings are held at Mount Daniel in the fall and Thomas Jefferson in the spring. Committees meet as necessary throughout the year.

FCEPTA Grants in Education and the Arts

Teachers, do you have a great idea, pet project or something you've wanted to try in your classroom and just need the funding? The FCEPTA is pleased to initiate a new educational grant program to give you an opportunity to enhance your current learning environments through a straightforward grants program. We hope to encourage your talent and to aid your creativity and originality in the classroom. Forms are available online.

Let's Cook! Cookbook

If you are new to the school this year, you need to check out our great PTA-created cookbook. It has a wonderful collection of recipes from teachers, students and families in "the City." If you order now, your cookbook will be sent home in your child's backpack before Thanksgiving -- in plenty of time to use as holiday gifts. Order forms for Let's Cook! are available here.

Bylaws

We recently conducted our 5-year review of our bylaws and they were approved at the meeting on March 26. The new version of the bylaws is available online.
